How do I fit the Snorekit Mouthpiece?

The Snorekit stop-snoring mouthpiece is a “Boil-and-bite” device which can be custom fit in your home in just a few minutes. We provide you with detailed information on our “How to fit” page.

How do I know it will work?

We know that more than 85% of users have no problems with using a stop-snoring mouthpiece. Just try it. The only reason the device may not work is that the device does not advance the lower jaw sufficiently to open the airways. In this case a custom-made or adjustable mouthpiece made up by a dentist may work.

It does not work!

Your jaw may not be advanced enough to stop-snoring. Try re-moulding with jaw slightly further forward. Note that this may cause jaw discomfort initially but repeated trial will allow you to find the most comfortable and effective position.

Your jaw may be slipping out of the stop-snoring mouthpiece at night. Try re-moulding and sucking in with your tongue pushed against the back of teeth.

How do I prove that it works?

More than likely your partner will tell you that you stop-snoring. Even if it works only for a short time initially, you can refit the stop-snoring mouthpiece until you are satisfied that it works.

You may have to use the stop-snoring mouthpiece for short periods during the day to get used to it.

Why does it stop working?

Because the product is thermoplastic it may have “stretched”. Try re-moulding or, if it is a year old, replace the stop-snoring mouthpiece

My jaw and/or teeth hurt in the morning.

This does occur when first used and is normal and usually dissipates with use.

It also can occur if the jaw is pushed too far forward.

Try re-moulding the stop-snoring mouthpiece with jaw not so far forward.

Must I use it all night?

Most people use the stop-snoring mouthpiece all night but some may use it only part of the night. Like any stop-snoring mouthpiece it takes a while to get used to and, starting with a few hours at first, usually allows one to get used to wearing it all night.

I gag or dribble when I use it.

Gagging does happen but use of the stop-snoring mouthpiece for a few hours at a time usually overcomes this problem.

Dribbling is a normal reaction to having a foreign object in your mouth and will disappear after regular use of the stop-snoring mouthpiece.

How long will my snorekit last?

Your stop-snoring mouthpiece will last between nine months to a year and depends on a couple of factors.

The more times you re-mould the stop-snoring mouthpiece the less thermolabile it becomes.

Grinding of teeth can cause product deterioration of the stop-snoring mouthpiece in a very short time.

Can I use with dentures?

It is usually not recommended as the “load” of the stop-snoring mouthpiece is on the front teeth and dentures may move and render the stop-snoring mouthpiece ineffective.

How do I clean the mouthpiece?

Usually rinsing the stop-snoring mouthpiece under cold water will be sufficient. You may use an antiseptic mouthwash and, if necessary, the stop-snoring mouthpiece can be lightly brushed with a toothbrush. Hard scrubbing with toothpaste will cause abrasion and may cause the stop-snoring mouthpiece to become rough.

It is important to leave the stop-snoring mouthpiece exposed to air when not in use so as to dry out and prevent any organisms from growing on it.

How do I place an order through the website?

1. Choose the product by pressing the “Buy Now”button on the Home Page or in the Shop.

2. On the next site choose your payment option. You can pay via Credit Card, Instant EFT or Ukash.

3. You will then be redirected to the secure and encrypted pages of our payment processors, Setcom (Pty) Ltd or Payfast (Pty) Ltd.

4. You will be asked to register – we need your delivery and contact details to get your order to you.

5. After completing your payment you will get a confirmation e-mail and you will be redirected back to our site.

What are my payment options?

Payment may be made via Visa or MasterCard credit cards with Setcom or via Instant EFT with Payfast. If you want to pay via bank transfer directly into the Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd bank account please contact us in order to provide you with the nessessary details.

How secure is the payment process?

Credit card transactions will be acquired for Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd via Setcom (Pty) Ltd who are one of the largest approved payment gateway in South Africa. Instant EFT und Ukash will be processed by Payfast. In both cases the payment process is made on 256bit encrypted secure pages of the payment processing partners and no credit card or bank account details are stored on the Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd website. Users may go to the Setcom (Pty) Ltd and Payfast (Pty) Ltd websites to view their security certificate and security policy.

What are my delivery options?

South Africa – Local Orders

We offer delivery via the Post Office to any destination in South Africa.

International Orders

All international orders are shipped via the Post Office as per air mail.

What is the cost of delivery?

South Africa – Local Orders

We deliver free of charge to any South African destination.

International Orders

We deliver to Namibia, Botswana and Swaziland via the Post Office.

The Delivery Charge for these countries is R72.69 per order.

For deliveries in other countries of Africa or Worldwide destinations please contact us.

When will my order be delivered?

South Africa – Local Orders

We will only dispatch your order once we have received proof of payment, so this effects when your order will be delivered. If you pay via credit card we will receive proof of payment within the same day. If you pay via online bank transfer (online banking) please allow 1 to 2 working days for your payment to show up in our bank account. To speed things up, you can use your bank’s payment confirmation email service to email us proof of payment. If you pay via cash deposit at your bank your payment will appear in our bank account immediately.

We will email you when we have received proof of payment. At that stage the delivery time can be estimated as 3 to 5 working days to reach your home adress or PO Box.

International Orders

Allow a Delivery Time of 5 to 8 Working Days to Namibia, Botswana and Swaziland.

Late Deliveries

Unforeseen circumstances e.g. adverse weather, closed roads etc. could prolong the delivery time. This is rare but it does happen, so ‘late’ delivery is not a ground for refund or cancellation of the order. However if your delivery has not been delivered after the estimated times shown above, please contact us with your order number so that we can follow up on the matter.

Where does Snorekit Products deliver to?

South Africa – Local Orders

We deliver via the Post Office and we can send your order to any address in South Africa including PO Box addresses.

International Orders

We deliver to Namibia, Botswana and Swaziland via the Post Office.

For delivery to other african countries or worldwide please contact us.

Can I place an order for worldwide delivery or anywhere else in Africa?

As we are South African based our main market is in southern Africa. However we deliver worlwide via Airmail. As different delivery charges apply please contact us before placing an order.

Can I track my order?

If you would like to track the progress of your order, please contact us with your order number and we track your order for you.

What are your return and refund policies?

The provision of goods by Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd is subject to availability. In cases of unavailability, Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd will refund the client in full within 30 days.

An order can be cancelled if payment has not been made yet for the order by the customer. Once payment has been made by the customer for an order, the order can only be cancelled within 24 hours of Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd receiving the payment or before the order has been dispatched by Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd, whichever is earlier. A cancellation of a paid order will attract a 10% administration fee to cover bank charges and other costs associated with refunding the customer for the cancelled order.

If a product is damaged or broken when you receive it, you must inform Snorekit Products (Pty) Ltd within 24 hours of receiving it. We will then make arrangements for the damaged product to be returned to us and get a replacement product sent to you on our account or alternatively we may refund you in full for the damaged or broken product.

If you are not completely happy with a product that you received with your order, you can contact us within 7 days of receipt with the reason of dissatisfaction. If the product is in its original sealed state we will issue a return number and a return delivery address. Shipping costs for the return will be for your account. Upon receipt, we will inspect the item and if it is in its original sealed state, we will refund you the value of the product. Due to the nature of the product we cannot issue a refund if the original sealed blisterpack is opened.
